The registration fee does not cover accommodation. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation arrangements. There are plenty of accommodation options to select depending on your budget or preferable location.

How to get to the symposium venue from Heraklion airport?
Heraklio has its own airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” (coded as HER). It is around 15 minutes from Heraklio city and it is also connected with low cost flights. Airport is served by local buses. The stop is in front of the terminal building. Alternative ways are by taxi or by car. For further information please visit the website.

Gala Dinner (Monday 19/06/2023)
We have arranged bus transfer to this restaurant. The departure for the gala dinner will be at 20.00 from the “Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos” Leoforos Dimokratias (please see the last page of this program – same as technical visit departure).
No dress code applies, please be casual as this is a summer period in Greece and you should feel comfortable.
Technical Visit to Knossos and to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
The gala dinner will take place at “ελια και δυόσμος” (olivesmint) restaurant (https://www.olivemint.gr/). For accompanying persons, the cost is 50€. Book your extra tickets at [email protected]. Let us know if small kids accompany you, as we have special arrangements.

Technical Visit to Knossos and to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
On Thursday, June 22, a technical visit will be organised. Participants and accompanying persons will be transferred to Knossos archaeological site and then will be transferred to Heraklion city centre to visit the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. We will cover the cost for the bus and tour guide. Regarding the entrance fee to the archaeological places, will be on the participants. Note that different prices apply. Faculty members from EU Universities may be admitted for free. Same for EU students bellow 25 years old. More information on this will be available upon registration.
